Musical / Comedy / Family Film
Story by Bradley Hasse
A fantastical, family friendly musical comedy that features an 8th Grader named Forest and his anthropomorphic hand - which departs his body and runs away after growing frustration with Forest for not showcasing his musical talents in public. Forest races to get his hand to return to normal before its discovery leads to more bullying at school, knowing the barrage of harassment he will receive if they find out about this musical appendage. This becomes increasingly difficult as the hand is excited by its growth in popularity after uploading original music videos onto social media.
Fist Face explores one’s struggle between becoming the person they wish they were and being the person that they feel others want them to be, all during one of the most difficult social times of our lives, middle school. What starts out as an extreme nuisance to Forest turns into an opportunity to have an open dialogue with a part of himself. The topics of bullying, finding one’s unique personal style in life, the creative process, and the age old tales of schoolyard antics, will all be examined in this film.
Every musical number will be a real experience we are observing with the characters - such as during a writing session or a performance. While layers of this film will connect with children and adults in different ways, they’ll both find commonality in the overall humor that is amplified by the fast paced, visually absurd scenes which are held together with a truly heartfelt journey that these two characters must go on in order to bring balance back into their lives.

A black comedy with a dark prediction. Desmond Paterson, a castaway, gets rescued after being on a deserted island for more than a decade and is thrown back into society only to find that artificial intelligence and automation have taken away nearly all the jobs. Most humans now are employed to do work previously done by objects, now hired to stand in for doors, coffee tables, and filing cabinets. This sector of the workforce is called “functional usability” - or FU for short - and was created by large corporations in order to qualify for government subsidies intended to bring humans back into the workforce.
Desmond is hired to be a chair and, as he works his way up and out of being just a piece of furniture, he has to choose between living like he’s on an island and caring only for himself, or sacrificing his growing privilege to contribute to the ever growing resistance.
Tonally, the film is a comedic satire where the average inhabitant of the world reacts to the insanity of their existence with complete acceptance. Many of the roles will be hyperreal caricatures of people we know and see today as we go about our working lives.

A family friendly, adventure fantasy about Magnolia, a young girl who climbs inside her moving boxes to protest her family’s recent relocation, and is shocked to find she’s been transported to a fantastical world made only of cardboard when she eventually climbs out.
Accompanied by her brother Henry, who had climbed into a box of his own just for fun, the two of them must set out to find their way back home through encounters with the many characters of box world. Throughout the journey, Magnolia wrestles with the idea that she may not need to have full control over every situation to be happy, and will learn from her freewheeling younger sibling.
This fast paced film will be full of large scale adventures that will make Magnolia and Henry look more like superheroes than two young kids. In this surreal world, we’ll truly believe that anything can happen if we just have the right mindset for it.
